Come Undone

So I’m in the middle of reading the book “Talking To Girls About Duran Duran.” It’s about one man’s quest to find true love and a cooler haircut! The author, Rob Sheffield, learned everything he needed to know when growing up in the 80’s listening to pop music.

Everyone has their own memories when listening to an old song. Songs can help us through the rough times. I remember hearing “99 Luft Ballons”, even though I never understood a word of German, it always puts me in a good mood when I hear that song because it brings back good memories.

Everybody’s got their own music idols. The music changes but the fan experience is the same—whenever you grow up, you have that intense personal connection to the music you love. It’s like falling in love—it changes the way you experience everything.
